Red wines – A way to healthy drinking

For many wine drinkers, sparkling red wine continues to be regarded synonymous with a sweet, sickly confection that amounts to much more than fizzy grape juice. Red wine is produced from red, purple or blue grapes. Its striking red color comes from the juice's contact with red grape skins during the fermentation process. Due to its more complex flavor, red wine is mostly served at a warmer temperature than white — but that doesn't necessarily mean that room temperature is ideal. For optimum enjoyment, it is required to chill the bottle for 10 to 15 minutes. Leading the charge for the reappraisal of sparkling red wines is Australia, where sweet wines producers have been making highly respectable bottles of red fizz for some years now. Italy and Portugal are other two countries that have long been making bottles of sparkling red wines. Till now, wine lovers face a challenge in sourcing good, affordable sparkling reds, changing tastes and perceptions of the genre signify that they are increasingly available and look set to enjoy further success in future.
